As professional shower remodelers, we have designed this shelf to specifically address the shortcomings of other shower niche shelves currently on the market. Our unique design allows the shelf to attach solely to the side walls of the niche, giving our customers the freedom to install a decorative tile on the back of the niche without any interference. This innovative "floating" design also makes cleaning the shelf much easier compared to traditional shelves, as there is no accumulation of soap in the corners.
In addition, we have opted for T304, 3mm stainless steel instead of 4mm aluminum to ensure the shelf remains rigid while being easier to install into standard 1/8" grout lines. The shelf is also designed to fit seamlessly into common prefab and custom shower niches with a 12" inside width. This updated version of our popular RB3 Shower Niche Shelf is now crafted with 316 Stainless Steel, providing enhanced corrosion protection compared to the previous 304 version.
The shelf is compatible with shower niches from Kerdi Board SN (12x12, 12x20, 12x28), Wedi (12x12, 12x18, 12x26, 12x38), and Houseables Shower Niche. Please note that the finished (tiled) niche will measure approximately 11 inches wide. The marine grade 316 stainless steel construction offers superior protection against harsh cleaners and hard water, ensuring durability over time.
With a thickness of 3mm, the shelf is designed to perfectly fit 1/8" grout lines, while the 1/2" gap behind the shelf prevents the buildup of soap scum in the corners. Additionally, the shelf includes built-in washcloth and loofah hangers for added convenience. It is important to install the shelf during tile installation, as it cannot be installed in a finished shower niche.
